Hi All,

Good day..

Our PR is now under process and my wife recently receives an email from cic asking for our police clearance.

My wife is now in labrador since july 2018 and i was in canada in 2007 to May 2008.
Do we need to get a canadian police clearance?.

In the cic website it is clearly mentioned that ..
  • Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a row within the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.
Except canada..

And most of our friends are telling us to get canadian police clearance..

Anyone have any ideas?..

Thank you in advance..

They seem to be requesting fingerprinted police certificates for applicants in Canada these days.

It won't hurt to apply for one and have it handy jus tin case they ask. If you go to the RCMP office, it might be free of charge.
