Police Clearance and Biometrics for Parents Sponsorship Family Class - PR

Hi Guys
I am applying for parents sponsorship in Family Class for 2019 intake. I received a letter stating biometrics is required and Police Clearance is required for all countries they have lived for more than 6 months.
They have visited Canada before and have stayed for more than 6 months. Currently they are back home in India. I have 2 questions
1) Do they need Police clearance from Canada?
2) Do I receive a separate letter for Biometrics? If yes, when does that letter come approximately ?

Yes...PCC should be produced from every country by the applicants if their stay was concluded to 6 or more months. In your case yes PCC from both canada and India must be submitted, which you can apply online.

And for biometrics, applicants will receive request letter IMM5756. I got my biometrics request approx. after 1.5 months from my AOR1.
