Our Inland family class sponsorship ,and our permanent residence application have been filed since October 31'st 2013 ,we are waiting for the stage 1 on the sponsorship still ,,,,,,,,,we received some help with the package from a friend who was in the industry before, but as a paralegal. we realised we were supposed to file a police certificate with the pr package but although searching the website and through her knowledged we did not evidently have the exact information we needed , I had obtained an FBI clearance letter from my home country of USA but it was dated April 11th . we also went to the local Rcmp station and i did the fingerprints and paid for them to do the background check they had ,and they [rcmp] said they would send the results to the immigration department them selves, and they could not send them to us we filled out the form {Request for Police Certificates/Clearances} and included it in our package . Since then we have received a local county police clearance letter from the county in California were I lived as well .

1.FBI clearance letter -original still in possession
2.rcmp fingerprints and background check done , Rcmp submitting results directly to cic = form -Request for Police Certificates/Clearances
3 local California county clearance letter in possession

to the point , We realise now that we should have submitted the original copy of my FBI clearance letter and not the copy , we have received the local county clearance letter from calif since filling , we hope the Rcmp results are sent to the cic as stated ................my question is were should we send the original FBI and the new local county clearence letters ,can we send them ,how do we make sure to the best of our abilitys they make it into our PR file , should we send them now or risc the PR file being sent back due to a copy of An FBI clearance file rather than an original and one that is older than the 3 months required [6 months old when filed]

1. You will need to get a new FBI check. Sending the original at this point won't help because as you pointed out yourself, it was already more than 3 months old when CIC received your application.

2. You didn't need to get a Canadian police clearance. The CIC website clearly states that they will request it if they want one.

3. You can forward it to Vegreville. Include file number or UCI, names, DOBs etc. and they will match it up.
