Police Check...

Just wandering how long a police check is valid if I have not returned home to my country of origin since my last request. When I applied for my work permit in Canada I had to provide a check which was clean, now I am sending of for a sponsorship PR and have to send it with the application. Is the one I received in June 2015 ok as I have not been home? Or do I have to apply and pay for a new one?

As long as the PCC was issued AFTER you left your country and you haven't returned since, it is still valid. You will need to send the original PCC.

Fantastic news, I have the original paperwork here so will send that off. I read in a few threads it would not be valid but wanted to crosscheck as it does not seem right that i would need a new one if I have not been home.
