I need advice from any senior member especially any one who has been through similar situation.

My spouse was convicted of driving without proper insurance in UK in 2011. Now CIC has asked for his police certificate from UK. If this conviction is listed on his police certificate, what will be affect on our VISA.

It would be very helpful if some one can answer who has been through similar situation.

Many Thanks

In my opinion, police certificates are asked mainly to check for any major criminal activity. I do not think that driving without insurance is a major crime.

They are looking for criminal activity and a conviction usually results in a prison-term. Unless he spent time in prison for driving without proper insurance, to me it seems like a minor traffic offence.
