Did anyone get Polic Certficate from India? Currently i am in USA. In this case do we need to in person or is there any alternative method to get it. Please share your experience.

And also how do we get Police certificate in USA. Is the same one as FBI or different one.

The easiest way to get PCC from India is to apply to Indian Consulate. For that you need to send your passport along with application(differs from consulate to consulate - need to check with closest to your place) and after inquiry to India they stamp your passport and also send a letter.It may take 45 - 60 days to get back.
Generally you will be asked for FBI clearance only(No need for PCC in U.S). you need to go to nearby police station and get fingerprinted and send the form to FBI. Typically it may take 15days - 4 months though generally it is on lower side(It will be fast if you mention in application that it is urgent and it is for Canada immigration purpose). They will send you a No Record attached to your finger print form.

These checks will requested by CIC. If you do early before they request and if there is a drag on process you will be asked to redo them if they time limit on these certificates expire
