Hi everyone. I was hoping someone can shed some light on a few issues I'm having regarding supporting documents.
I'm going over the document checklist and under Police Certificate it says:
POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES
Police certificates or clearances from each country in which you and every one in your family aged
18 years or over have resided six months or more since reaching 18 years of age. You must attach
the original police document(s). Please consult our website for specific and up-to-date information
on how to obtain police certificates from any country.
Is this everyone in my immediate family? I have no dependents. Also I have lived mostly in the UK and did a year exchange in France, do I need to include police certificates from each of those countries?
Also can someone give me more information about the upfront medical? Where do I go to for this and how much does it cost?
Other than that, we are collecting photos and letters from friends and family to prove our relationship. I've been living in Canada for the last 2.5 years and with my partner for 1.5 years. Since we haven't really needed to visit each other (and have no flight tickets) and our communication is mainly in person or short phone calls/texting...I don't know what other evidence we can provide. We very recently opened a joint chequing. We have made purchases together but on our separate credit cards. What else can we provide to bulk up our application?
We are horribly disorganized about sending in my PR application as we have just moved provinces and it's taken us a couple months to settle down. So far I've been granted a one year extension and at the rate we're going, I'll probably have to apply for another. I have paid the PR fees upfront and included them in my extension app to let them know we are in the process of applying.
