I received my ECA yesterday and updated the information in CIC, I got an email today to say there had been an update but my points are still the same? Does anyone know how long it takes to update?

Whats your score ? These "profile updated" messages are a vague insight into the possible score cutoff !!

And I think, even more, when there are a lot of "updates" with no change in information, it signals a coming draw.

nooo i genuinely did update the information on my profile by adding my ECA but it hasn't updated the points and it's been over a day, but i received the email saying it had been updated....it just hadn't?

How do you get these Profile Updated messages ??
I have created my EE Profile a month ago and haven't received any profile updated messages in my Inbox ..

Can you guys shed some light on this .

I created my profile last week by 399 points. I got message two times that there is an update in my account but when i checked there was no updates.

What does it mean?

CIC probably e-mailed a large bunch of people whose profile scores may or may not change. It is their way to cover their ass, in case that people's score has changed. It does not mean that everyone who received the e-mail have their scores changed.

What does it mean?

Under "My Information" of your express entry profile, there is a checkbox that says "I would like to receive monthly updates about my application.". Leave this box unchecked. CIC will send you an e-mail monthly even if there are no updates on your profile.
