I entered my foreign work experience from 2012/october to 2013/september and it gave me points as if i had full year experience. Did anyone ran into similar issue? I dont want to get into trouble by misrepresenting...

The system probably counts the entire month.

October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013 is one year.

October 1, 2013 would be the first day of the second year of your work experience.

then how do I make it right as I have only 51 weeks of experience: oct 3 to sept 25....

Also, if it counts october 1st then why not september 1st as well?

My friend got rejected due to a few hours short of 1560 hours.

Any work OUTSIDE Canada is considered foreign.

Hi Thank you for your reply.

But i have read that for EE 1 year Canadian Work Experience is required So how we can say "Our Work Exp is Canadian Work Exp:.
if we have that exp outside of canada?
Thanks.

Hello Karolis,

I have a similar experience. My spouse has 50 weeks of Canadian experience from March 2014 to Feb 2015 (40 hours per week). And the system has counted it as 1 year awarding us 5 points.

We too do not wish to be mis-interpreted though we haven't provided any false information. Have you had any answers to this problem?

Many Thanks!

Is it possible that paid vacation time fits in somewhere? Did you take holidays during your work or at the end?

My spouse was on ICT Closed Work Permit. So at the end of her deputation in Canada during mid of Feb, she went back to India and is now working from there. So her experience in Canada ends during mid of Feb and it is only 49 weeks.

We were wondering whether we should change the 'To' in EE form to Jan 2015 instead of Feb 2015 in order to remove those 5 points. But wouldn't that be false information?
