Hello ALL,

Can you please help me calculating my points?

MAIN APPLICANT:
NOC: 2173 Applied: Aug/2016 intake

Education= CSE 4 yrs (hons), ECA by WES 4years bachelor = 10 pts
Area of Training = Section A (CSE) 4 yrs(Hons) = 12 pts
Work experience = More than 07 years = 8 pts
Age = At the time of application 34.8 years = 16 pts
Language = (IELTS) 1+1+1+1 = 4 pts
(L=5, R=4.5, W=6, S=6)
SPOUSE:
Education = Bachelor in English (16 yrs) = 3 pts
Area of Training = Section E ( English Literature) = 0 pts
Age = 32 Years = 3 pts
Financial Self-sufficiency = Yes = 1 pts
Total = 57 pts

Query 1: I am expecting a baby in this September. Can I claim 4 points for my upcoming baby?

I know from a Canadian lawyer that you can claim 4 pts to add your baby but I didn't see it on MIDI website on the other hand if you remove your spouse as a single applicant you are eligible.

Experience: 6+ (in the fields of Finance & Accounting and Planning)

Area of Training : Business Administration
IELTS: Speaking 5.5, listening 6 , reading 5.5, writing 6.5
Spouse Edu: BSC ( 4 years Bachelor in Electrical & Electronics Engineering)
Spouse Experience: 4+ in the field of technology under Telecom industry
kids: 1 kids ( age 2 years)
Finance: is it mean that should I have sufficient money for each family members once we move to Canada after getting visa or anything else?

Remember that adding 4 pts for your upcoming baby is uncertain becoz its depend on MIDI on the other hand if you eligible as a single applicant & get PR then your spouse will be eligible but need time.

I also applied my Quebec immigration last year waiting for the preliminary process.

Do I still need 49 or 59 in my case ?

You can claim AOT B 9 pts for finance & banking, I also applied Aug 16, 2016 my education is same to you & claimed my point AOT 9 previous it was aot 12.

My lawyer said ,the new rules required 59 points excluding the financial point . i am not sure about what is happening there. However , do you know anything about this? Will they count Financial point to get 59 or it's without it?

Can anyone tell me what will be my AOT points, I have completed my education in Electronics and Communication batch,

I am working has a Database administrator which is 2172 aera code will this I get 9 points or 12 points ,

Or it is purely based on studies alone not on the area where you work ?

Please ask your lawyer to challenge MIDI at court on behalf of you, as my lawyer also doing same thing.

Son: Age 18 Months 4

With IELTS 61


Got following question:

Will they consider My IT exp as I have done Engineering in Electronics
My spouse degree says Bach of Commerce would be counted in Accounting as per Quebec
Can I add IELTS score after submitting application

I have another theory. Quebec has highest rate of "immigrant move-out" among Canadian provinces and they believe that people with good French skills have better chances of assimilating in Quebec and hence staying. So they are increasing weightage of points for French. Also , they are overwhelmed by sheer no. of applicants hence increasing cut-off ( demand - supply equation)

This one is also a valid theory which makes a lot of sense. Quebec has its own immigration program not to serve as Canada's backdoor but to serve as a valid source of labor. In my opinion from the next application intake on, at least a B2 French level will be mandatory. It just makes sense. Good luck to everyone.
