POF when h4 is the Primary Applicant

All banks ask for ssn number and H4 does not have one. So I was told that I cannot open bank account.

You need SSN for a credit card, not to open a bank account. Anyway, this is completely off the topic.

You don't need to worry about the POF as long as you have the enough funds in either your account or your spouse's account. Also, if you have a joint account that can be used too.
