As my medical was expired. I have been requested for new medical today.

I'm in the same boat.. January 27, 2017 applicant. My GCMS say nothing, call reps have not updates, I wrote a letter to them speicifically asking if it's possible to follow up with the background check that's been going on for over a year and the agents response was the generic " We verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process. While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible."[/

Not too sure but i asked immigrantiin consultant and they said if we get medical now it means officer has hands on our application and is ready to finalize our application. So could be.

I called MP help me, and he send message back to me.

I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received Nov 6, 2017. It is at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney.

Standard processing time is 19 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.

Eligibility and criminality passed.

May 14 got ghost updated and Security checks were initiated May 14, 2019 and security data upload on May 17th are in progress. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until Apr 14, 2020.

When I called them, the cic agent told me that your eligibility was passed this is only update I see ( which I already knew last week itself). She doesn't know other than this why did I get application/profile updated...... May 14 got ghost updated and Security checks were initiated May 14, 2019 and security data upload on May 17th are in progress.(who knows what does it mean in terms of security data upload completed ?) by the way, they set up a due day for security check which is June 13th(I know it is nothing, whey just set up a date for their reference.If passed that day may be they need to get deep investigation? but all the security data information has already uploaded prob lily CBSA done their job and send back to IRCC do the review that is just my assume )

I received a CSIS notes on MAY 6TH, there is no information in their data bank regard my name. so, I think Security screening is not for me. but I am not sure about it, since May 14th security check start until know it is long time. I was worried about it.

they extend my Medicals are valid until Apr 14, 2020.
