Jan 3 applied
March 8 medical passed
Still waiting
This is frustrating....even april applicant are getting PPR while some of us who applied earlier gets to wait. Refugee gets their papers processed for 3 weeks only. On the other hand we who are working for years here in canada are suffering from a long processing time and miticulous background check, security check and so on and so forth.
Our MP spoke to IRCC regarding my application and one of the officer told him that Standard processing time is 18 months.
This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame,
while 20% take longer.

Hello everyone.
I am a single Inland PNP candidate. My file was received on 28th October ,2016.
I got my GCMS notes today and if someone can help me understand them.

My Security has not even started yet although my Eligibility, Criminality and Medical was passed in January 2018 so if its means they have stopped working on my file since January 5th 2018?

I can see on my notes:

Secondary offices:1
Created date:2010/05/21
Created by: SADMIN
Updated date:2010/05/23
Office name:CPC Ottawa

So this information dates back to 2010? Anyone has any idea what does that mean?

If someone is in the same situation where security has't been started from 4 months?

Please help!!!!
When did you apply??

I've seen couple of guys had their medicals updated from the same batch but I dont even think medical is going to update online until the decision made,or possibility is everything like screening and all updates together, my friends who I mentioned earlier have their online status same like it still says chequing eligibility and processing the background but they already have their PPR.so,now it's all about the final decision we should get anxious about!

What documents do I need to do my landing at the airport?

I plan to travel in June so will wait until I am returning to do my landing at the airport as if I do flag poling now it will take about 2 months to get my PR card.

Also, if I should do my landing now, how can I return to Canada without the PR card not yet received?

Landing at airport or at border or at IRCC local office; documents needed are same... Passport with Landing VISA, COPR letter (these are coming from ottawa when they will return your passport back to you), your current Work permit.

If you land by flagpoling at border before you travel you have to wait until you have the PR Card, which takes 50days.

You can only enter Canada without PR card after landing Apply and get a Permanent Resident Travel Document from your travel destination country.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/application-permanent-resident-travel-document.html

There are lot of requirements to get a Permanent Resident Travel Document, check the link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5529-applying-permanent-resident-travel-document.html

If you are entering Canada in a car at US border than you can enter without PR card or Permanent Resident Travel Document as per http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=064&top=10

Thank you for your response.

I assume I can just show them my last 2 pay stubs as proof of income and don't have to show bank statement right?

I will just wait till I travel June to do my landing as I dont want to complicate my situation.

Much appreciated your reply.

Do we go to canada place personally to book an appointment or we call them for appointment?

I could not find their number for edmonton IRCc place.

I sent out my passport yesterday. Do you think that i should book an appointment that early?
Your answers are much appreciated
Thank you
You have to call cic on this number 1-888-242-2100 to book an appointment.
Yes you can call them now, I also called this number the same day I sent my passport to Ottawa.
