I am a strong believer that if one is accusing somebody publicly one must be able to provide evidence supporting their accusations, publicly as well. I did my landing at IRCC office in Edmonton, you can either land at border which doesn't require any appointment or you can land at IRCC's local immigration office in your city, for that you have to book an appointment first. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks to get you an appointment date.
Than you go to service canada to change your sin number.

Do we go to canada place personally to book an appointment or we call them for appointment?

I could not find their number for edmonton IRCc place.

I sent out my passport yesterday. Do you think that i should book an appointment that early?

I am inland but my wife is back home and I have been in Canada for 8 years (5 yrs students and 3 years working engineer). I can not believe they are making me wait all this time to see meet my wife and I can not go back home because there is a war and there is no airport. They rejected her temporary visa because the situation in my country!! I am not worried about waiting for the PR, I am upset because I need to reunion with my wife and I have talked to the minister and the PM (both are useless), and whenever I call CIC they say everything looks good and it is in the normal processing time!.
I called my lawyer today and he told me that he has 30 people applied on January 2017 and only 7 got their PPR so far. It makes me feel better at least more than %70 are in the same boat.
Any January 2017 waiting like me?

This is frustrating....even april applicant are getting PPR while some of us who applied earlier gets to wait. Refugee gets their papers processed for 3 weeks only. On the other hand we who are working for years here in canada are suffering from a long processing time and miticulous background check, security check and so on and so forth.

I got my GCMS notes today and if someone can help me understand them.

My Security has not even started yet although my Eligibility, Criminality and Medical was passed in January 2018 so if its means they have stopped working on my file since January 5th 2018?

I can see on my notes:

You should give them a call since your papers are over 18 months now. You can ask them about it.
