Can't you just apply for bridge work permit? Your AOR should allow you to do so if you are waiting for PR within Canada.

Unfortunately, I'm in a closed work permit. There is a restriction on my nominee certificate. I think only those who doesn't have restriction can apply for a bowp. Not sure I just read it frm cic website.

I just submitted BOWP application online but no application number was received from CIC nor confirmation of submission... is it normal? I only receive a message re:OFFICIAL RECEIPT paid... thanks... =)

I think it's only the official receipt that u will receive. My case was handled by an Immigration Consultant and he also gave the official receipt.

It will only take a month. I don't know why my application was a paper one. My friends did their online and received in a month.

I just received my GCMS notes today and have a few questions:
- Under "assessments" what is "security"? - Mine shows not started.
- and what does "due date" mean?

Also what does security entail? how is it different to criminality?

when you guys say Jan so and so date applied and received MR, so which date you consider it as the date you send your file or the date CIC or CIO received your file. because its almost 7-10 days of difference in that.

I can not give you 100 %, but "due date" means the date when your application will be approved, or +- some period of time. This rule does not apply to all cases. What is yours?

Got MR today, made appointment right a way. The Form is showing the old address tho, reception girl told me its not a problem... They want $400 from me...

I got two questions, couple friends of mine told me that I can leave the province after medical, is that true? I need to leave this heart breaking town.
Another question is, it took 12months and 7days for me to receive the MR, and my work permit only have 4 months and 10 days left, should I do the BWOP now or wait till the last couple days? I can't seem to find the copy of my nomination...

Hello,

You can only apply for BOWP when your work permit ias about a month to expire and you have received AOR, which you already have.
