I can not give you 100 %, but "due date" means the date when your application will be approved, or +- some period of time. This rule does not apply to all cases. What is yours?

Under eligibility assessment, mine says:
Due date: 2017-04-15.
Status: passed.

I am not sure what this means.
I applied to federal in feb 2016.
AOR april 2016.

It looks like only security is showing as not started, everything else is passed..
Does anyone else know when security will change to passed?

Please for someone that moved to Canada more than 4 years now, Do we need to send a police certificate for Canada or just for the country that we have lived more than 6 months?

Only for the countries you lived more than 6 mos.

RCMP PCC is upon request. CIC will review Canadian/US record through their partner system using your name/info. If there's adverse outcome, or multiple outcome (same name), CIC will request you for fingerprinted PCC.

I just received my GCMS notes today and have a few questions:
- Under "assessments" what is "security"? - Mine shows not started.
- and what does "due date" mean?

Also what does security entail? how is it different to criminality?

1. security is usually done after medical received. It's part of the background check. It will review other than criminal--political, social, economical etc. Most people have nothing to be alarmed, but some has, such as civil servants, ex-law enforcement, veterans. In the old days, security and criminal reviewed at the same time after MR; being like that, MR was so fast at that time. Now CIC do criminal first and MR, and so the rest...

2. the due date is literally "due date." Each review section has due date, mostly the same tho. It's been set at the first time with approx. time to process. For us, it would be 15-16 mos. So, yes, it will be the date to approve our PR, BUT that is misnomer at the same time. Whole process speed of CIC may be slow down for any reason, and the "due date" doesn't count that. In short, your (or our) PR may be delayed after the due date. One good thing about this is, you can call the call-center and ask about your process details after this due date passed.

This is my suggestion about the reading GCMS note. Do not care too much about what has not been done. Care about what outcome you got. You may have got criminal and potentially medical. See what you got. Find if anything can stop your process in the final review. Find some keyword like adverse, concern, or so. Also it would be good to read last couple pages, which is real progress of your application, and real note from the "officers".

Due date is just an aprox date when ur application will go for next step again....most of the time is not accurate so dont go for due date.

Security is another check cic does...is pretty much the last one before ppr request....and take a couple of weeks also.

I recommend u to ask gcms notes again in 1 month or 1month and a half...to see a difference!

I have two friends who got their PPR today.
They're both February applicant.
Embassy in Vienna - Austria.

I am March applicant waiting for PPR. Medical received in December.

My due date is May,6 I found this date everywhere under Eligibility, Criminality, Medical and Security as well. I was taking to one of CIC guy and I was told that this date is accurate. The time will show us that.

Security is still blank. Criminality and Medical show in Progress. On the last page I found the officer`s note that "Additional information required". Other than that there are no any issues.

Waiting for MR.
