Hey congratulations! Just a question: what was the dimensions of the photos you sent? 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm (old format) or 5 cm X 7 cm (new format)?
Thanks

Thank you Anacris04 :)
Regarding your question... I followed what was stated on the checklist last January. I believed that was: 50 mm x 70 mm (2 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches long) and sized so the height of the face measures between 31 mm and 36 mm (1 1/4 inches and 1 7/16 inches) from chin to crown of head (natural top of head)

Please check the guide on cic website because they normally update it every now and then.
Then, show to photographer what is stated on the guide to make sure you will not have any mistake. Photographers are aware regarding the dimensions.

Good luck to your application! I hope it helps :)

Hello,

Hope you are fine. I have some questions that I hope you will help me in giving correct answers to them.

I have applied under Skilled Workers Overseas stream. My occupation that I found in the list of NOC 2006/NOC 2011 is Software Engineer and Designer (2173) after which I suppose that my occupation is regulated, am I right? Please tell me what will be the appropriate answer of the following questions:

> If your occupation is regulated, what steps will you take to meet the requirements for working in this occupation in Manitoba?

Help is needed...

> If your occupation is regulated, can you start the licensing process before you arrive? Yes or No

I guess the Answer: Not applicable

> If your occupation is regulated, in what related, non-regulated occupations could you find skilled employment in Manitoba based on your training and work experience?

Help is needed...

> If your occupation is not regulated, what steps will you take before you arrive in Manitoba to ensure you find skilled employment soon after arriving in Manitoba?

I guess the Answer: Not applicable

I will appreciate your help.

Regards,

Noor

Engineering is regulated in Canada by provincial associations. Google APEGM thats the association for manitoba and there you will be able to find the required information. It can take anywhere from 3-5 years to get the P.Eng. in Canada depending on the province after they recognize your degree and experience.

I am supposing you have your post graduate work permit that has expired now may be two situations
1) If your previous work permit was not according to time period that you suppose to get due to expiry date of your passport.. In this case you will get Open work permit and you have to state the reason CIC did not issue you 3 years work permit due to expiry of passport.
2) If you got your work permit according to time frame that you suppose to get than this will be close work permit.

i called CIC and they told me that if u extend ur work permit using AINP and support letter then ur employer has to pay employer compliance fees of 230$ and i"ll get a closed work permit.
Other option he told me is to wait for AOR then apply for bridge visa and then i"ll get open work permit.
is that all true or i should call them again to confirm with another agent.
So now if i don't get AOR by the time my work permit expires then what will happen ??? what will be my options ?
