To R1982:

I think that you shouldn't put the dates of the ones that have only received XEP file number. I think only when we receive the EP with UCI number, we should put the date in the list, just to avoid confusion.

Don't know if anybody agrees with me, just thinking.

I think you are ryt. But where he put in those dates makes sense to me (just me). The subject on the email I received says "Application for Permanent Residence in Canada - Acknowledgement of Receipt‏". So that is AOR to me. But I got what you mean. All confusion started with this XEP and then EP filing system.

I sent out my application on Feb 15th and I got file number today.Can anyone tell me why the file number starts with XEP?

It is a temporary file number. You get a EP file number after 2-3 months from now. That it's the actual file number.
