Hello guys,

I am AINP applicant who applies inland PR by paper type with sharing below my timeline with you:

Sumitted: Dec 28,2016
AOR received by email : Mar 13,2017
Reminder email received: Jun 12,2017
Medical results changed: around Oct or Nov/2017 to be "You passed the Medical Exam"
Backgroud Check: from beginning "have not started yet" to " we are checking and will let you know" until around Nov/2017 to be " Not Applicable"....nothing hasn't changed so far.
By Feb 13,2018, nothing else is got updated or changed.

I asked for GCMS notes and am now still waiting for it as stated on website within 35 days.

I have been waiting for almost 12 months since received AOR. I knew the processing time was changed to 18 months which is so painful.
My open-bridge work permit is almost expired. Anyone suggests me do can I renew the work permit? should I do it now?
Keep update if you have similar timeline with mine.

Thank you

U can again apply bridging open work permit.

My 2 years closed work permit with my paper based OINP will expire January 2019, since the process is really slow, I might need to renew my closed work permit.
Can I renew my closed work permit?

If ur nomination says”no” in front of employment restrictions then u r eligible for bridging open work permit. Otherwise u need letter 204c from nomination office and apply for another closed work permit

Thank you for the info, I didn't know about the letter 204c.
One additional question, when I got the current closed work permit, my employer paid the LMIA exemption fee, do you think my employer needs to pay this fee again in order for me to renew the closed work permit?

Yes, if u r applying closed work permit then employer needs to pay employer compliance fee and u can request ur nomination office to issue 204c if it was not issued initially with nomination certificates.
