Hi Lizzycrown12 ,
My IELTS expired in April 2015 . I applied with my expired IELTS to CIC . Any chance of file return ? My Noc is 0911 (O) . Plz. reply . Thanks .

Hi Vimal, I am torn in half on this situation of yours. I don't want to give false intructions. Just some of the ideas I knew.

Some say that IELTS doesn't matter if expired as long as it reached the province when you applied is still valid. CIC won't mind.

Some say, we have to pass UPDATED IELTS not older than 2yrs. Coz some officer are too strict when checkng your papers.

So, in my case, JUST TO BE SURE, I retake the IELTS and passed an updated one.

I guess you just have to pray harder and hope that everything will be fine......

Oh really??!!!! So it means its 4.5months before they can give us the AOR and file number? That's terrible!
Before it will only take a month. then it went up to 3 months. And now its 4.5months!

So I finally my application got delivered to Sydney, NS. Signature is MK (who the heck is MK). Anyone applied inland using Canada post got this guy's signature?

Hi All

I sent my PR file on 25th November and it got received on 27th November and today I got an email from UPS that an envelope is being shipped to me from 49 dorchester street nova scotia and will be reaching on 5th jan 2016. Does any has any idea what that envelope could be? Have they sent my application back? Is it something bad for my PR File?

Hello Vagaur..i think you are very lucky that they have sent back your file so quickly after checking. You dont need to worry just take a deep breath and when you receive the file check may be you might have forget to sign the form or you might have forget to include some info.. Atleast you have enough time to fix your file and return it back, before your loa expiration. Otherwise there are people on the foroum who received their file from cic after 5 months of applying to them resulting in expiration of loa and ielts.. So dont worry send back your fixed file to them and start waiting for aor in march end or mid of april.. Good luck

Thanks for the reply. My consultant advised that its just a scam as the email was thru UPS CIC always uses Canada Post and email is also having a name to be contacted which CIC never discloses. So there is a 90% chance that its a scam rest I will know on 5th Jan when I will receive that package.

In the delivery notification from canadapost it says that the package is delivered however it does not mention who received the package. Did you use Xpresspost? I believe only that and Priority will show the signature on your tracking.

Hello, it will take 8-9 hours for update. Same thing happened for me.
