Hello guys.. please see my case and suggest as soon as possible..

I am ontario PNP - PR Inland october 2015 applicant. On feb 6th (this month) i got my PPR. I sent my passport and in that PPR letter it was mentioned to submit info on any marriage or legal separation. On dec-8 2016 i got married in India and my spouse is India right now. I flew back to canada in January. So i send them the marital status update. Yesterday i received an email from CIC to fill list of documents regarding my spouse and also to pay the processing fee and RPRF fee ($550 + $490) if my spouse intends to accompany me to canada. so i was completely confused and nervous about my PPR stamping. here is my qsns:
1. If I choose my spouse not to come to canada RIGHT NOW and didn't pay the fee, do they review the spouse documents and will process only my PR file and will send my passport back with PR documents with in 4 or 5 weeks.

This may be the best time to add your wife. If you start the process later it may take years. All they would ask for us police clearance and Medicals from her and you will be fine. I don't think they will keep your passport for long. Worse case scenario if they don't process your file quickly is that they will return your passport back to you until they are ready to issue both visas. Good luck.
2. If i choose my spouse to come to canada NOW and pay the fees, do they hold my PR file and my Spouse's PR file and process it and then will send my passport back to me. and what is the processing time for this case to review and process my spouse PR.. because if its 10 months or 12 months i can't leave my passport with them for that much time...

please help !!!
Thanks.

Hi guys,

I'm planning to go to one of the US-CA border to landing. I wondering if I need an US VISA to pass the border just for landing? I know some of my friends did without US VISA, but I still want to confirm since it will be a 6 hours drive.
You don't need US visa. its called flagpoling.

You arrive at US border, tell the US custom officer you're flagpoling, then s/he will give you administrative refusal and redirect you to Canadian side, then you complete landing there

Yes i sent my passport through mail and sent an email to them regarding my marriage, after that they replied to that email to fill all the documents and forms and stated to reply back to the same email with all documents and forms filled.

Hello friends,
I was on a long vacation. Couldn't keep up with forum.

Details:
2015 Sep 8 pnp pr Inland applicant with 1 dependent got ppr on Dec 23 2016.
We did flagpole at NB USA border on 12th Feb 2017.

Flagpole was very easy. Went to US office just say you are here for flagpole. The might ask some basic details and then give us a rejection of entry paper.
Give this at Canada office at border along with passports and copr and answer few basic questions and they will confirm your pr.

Cbsa said there are some backlog in pr cards. So it might take more than a month.

I take this opportunity to thank every one of the members for every single help and support.

Happy to be with you all in this great forum.
Congrats & Good luck to all

I have a exact timing with you but I haven't got my "Decision Made" yet. Did they asked you for additional info/documents after medical? Can you tell if you call and follow up a lot so you finally got the DM?

Regarding the PPR I think you will get it in 7-10 days.

I suggest you call IRCC directly to find out the procedures. You can also send them an email if you're not satisfied with call agent response.

Good luck.

I didn't get any additional info request. And I didn't call to CIC for PR application.

Good Evening guys,

I just had my landing interview at IRCC office in Etobicoke. I received PPR on January 10th, send my documents to IRCC on January 23rd, 2017 and received back my COPR on February 01st, 2017. I immediately called IRCC to book an appointment to an inland office in order to avoid the rudeness of the boarder officers. IRCC replied me back 2 days after, on February 03rd and they gave me my appointment for today, February 20th, 2017. Ok the process was simple and fast. The immigration officer just asked me if I had a criminal record or if I have been refused entry into Canada or other country. Then, she asked me if I was working and I told her yes and showed her my T4; however, she never asked me for proof of funds. Then, at the same office, the immigration officer send me to a service Canada officer in order to change my SIN, of course after saying: " congratulations, welcome to Canada." What I can say is that IRCC officers are more polite that CBSA officers and my landing process was very pleasant and fast. I thank all of you guys for your support during this long journey and I wish the best to all of you. I'll continue in this forum in order to help with my experience all those who need advise. Thank you again and the best for all of you.
