I had same situation
I went to mpnp office and described situation to reception and I submitted my job letter and expired mpnp letter. I got new letter by email in I think 3 week. Relax no big deal, you can do it too.

I am MPNP and already applied for PR.
My Workpermit is expiring on 31st december 2016 and i am inprocess of applying a extension(CLOSED).
CIC told i need a SUPPORT LETTER from PNP Manitoba to apply for closed workpermit.
CAN YOU PELASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO GET THIS SUPPORT LETTER .IS THERE ANYWAY TO APPLY THIS ONLINE TO MANITOBA PNP.
IF ANYONE HAVE DONE THIS PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE.

I am staying out of province temporarily. hence i probably have to contact MPNP over email or phone. By job letter you mean to to say offer letter or employment letter.

Well, you can call mpnp office and find out. And well, I meant employment letter, in my case I was in Manitoba and with same employer, so it worked for me.

I was in the same situation. I just sent them my old support letter which I got with nomination (here were two almost the same letters in my nomination email, one is Support Letter). It doesn't matter if it's expired. I got my extension work permit in about 45-50 days. Good luck!

I have a quick question..

I will apply for extension of work permit online, I got the "employers compliance fee" receipt, is it the only attachment I need from my employer? or does IRCC send specific letter of job offer approval to my employer that needs to be given to me to attach in my application?

Why does he need to contact local MP ?

If CIC sent him an email requesting the Support letter, He needs to take that and send it to MPNP. They will contact the employer and issue a support letter which he can then forward to CIC.
