Does any one know how long it will take to get passport back. I have send mine on September 19 still waiting no updates yet. I am worried about it now. Should I contact Ottawa office or should I wait ???
Any suggestions
It usually takes 4 weeks so you should wait till Oct 19

Hey Friends i have a question,

I am waiting for the PPR like all others, October 2015 applicant.
My TRV has already been expired and my work permit is valid until MAY 2017.
I am bit scared of renewing my TRV at the moment because i think it may slow up my PR application processing...just a thought...is tht true ?
But on the other hand i am not sure if at the time of PPR (or landing though i am already in Canada...i mean i am talking abt the last stage of processing that PPR or after PPR...) will i must need to have a TRV on Passport or will it not matter ? I f it will require then i should better renew it now.

What is ur advice...??
thanks
I don't think it will slow down the process....that is the basic need to travel based on your permit validity.....I applied mine in last Feb after my BOWP and got the approval in two days and get the passport back in next 5 days and my PR was in process so I think you should apply it's online and send the passport and get the visa ready in case you need to travel for any unforeseen situation.

Rest is your call....thanks

Just to add on what Luckychamp already said and also to answer your second part question - You do not need to get TRV for landing purpose. Once you sent passport after receiving PPR then return passport with TRV single entry so you can do the landing at the border. So if you do not plan on leaving country before getting PPR so you can save yourself for getting TRV and paying for it.

What does it say on your nomination certificate?

Restriction on employment- Yes or No? If it says yes then you can not get BOWP but if it says No then you can apply for BOWP once you receive AOR from CIC;
Also you can work for any employer if it says No restriction and any NOC code job. As per AINP certificate guideline, they do ask for letting them know if there is any change in employment, address or marital status but it won't affect your application.

I have submitted my PR application to CIC on 6th October 2016, from the day 1 to till date the status its showing as "Review of eligibility" in progress.

Does it really take so long to check the eligibility ? What would be the expected timelines ?

Appreciate any comments with your experiecne !!

Thanks !

Hi there,
CIC received my package on 14th Sept. 2015. I applied under PNP Ontario. My "Review of eligibility" is still in progress. I got medical Req. on 29th June 2016. Who else are Sept /Oct. 2015 applicants? Are we on the same boat?

If you submitted paper application it will show review of eligibility in progress in progress to the very end . CIC paper based PR timeline is

3-4 months to receive AOR
9-10 months after AOR, medical request
3-4 months after medical, PPR

it is standard timeline at the moment. Every case is different.

Thank you very much. Yarr i applied last time my TRV last year and it took me 4 months to get my application processed (at that time processing time was only about 20 days).
But may be this time it won't take that long.
Let me think about it if i really need to renew it or not.. Thanks :) :)

Anyone who apply BOWP online:

can you help me whit this?
I tried to apply online after answer all the question the CIC website give me too option Work permit (in Canada) or Open work permit

Which one should i choose???

for Work permit I can upload all the file online, but the payment is only $155, but is not include the $100 of open work permit.

But for Open work permit, there is not place for me to upload any of my file, like my AOR AND NPN latter. But I can pay for the $255.

which one i get choose? please help.

I have open work permit expire on Oct/31,2016

no restriction on employment.
