Hi everyone.. i need help i applied GCMS notes on 31st aug. 2016 but i didn't received it yet. its been more than 30 days.
can somebody tell how to track my status of GCMS notes?

Hey Friends i have a question,

I am waiting for the PPR like all others, October 2015 applicant.
My TRV has already been expired and my work permit is valid until MAY 2017.
I am bit scared of renewing my TRV at the moment because i think it may slow up my PR application processing...just a thought...is tht true ?
But on the other hand i am not sure if at the time of PPR (or landing though i am already in Canada...i mean i am talking abt the last stage of processing that PPR or after PPR...) will i must need to have a TRV on Passport or will it not matter ? I f it will require then i should better renew it now.

What is ur advice...??

Does anybody know if the background check of the PR application involves a credit check?

I saw a sudden drop in my credit score after my background check turned to In progress last week.

I don't know if it's right. In my opinion, the background check is as same as the criminal check. They just check whether you have criminal records in Canada (maybe also U.S).

We should have a valid status prior to our landing (exit), i suggest you to renew your wp just to be safe.

I phone CIC today and I got a helpful lady and spare time explaining to me everything and she opened my file. you are right Dandan88 we need to have a valid status prior to landing (or exit to border) She suggested that since my application is now done and all are passed just waiting for decision, I should apply for extension of work permit beginning of December before my work permit expiry date Dec. 22. If my PR is not ready by that time. its 16 months processing and can go longer or lesser..

Ohh God....If you are September 21st......I wonder how much of a backlog they have with making final decisions....they have so many people with applications completed just waiting for that final decision.......

yes that's why we should not expect anything at this moment. Those who have their WP close to expiration should start renewing it to be on safe side.

Well that is quite interesting and surprising too like u r Sept 21 applicant and they said everything is Passed (and just need to make a decision).
I mean if everything is Passed...then what they are exactly waiting for ???
And i believe like u, all the applicants from late June through Sept 21, 2015 (at least) have everything done on their files except "Decision Made"....so the point is why CIC is taking it too long to make a "Decision" ??? : : : : : : : :

Same here, 3 Sep 2015 applicant (Inland), BG Check status changed into IP today!

I got my GCMC notes month back and it shows all PASSED and no concern (Security/criminality/medical) my background check shows in -progress since April 2016..

We can't question their time and processing, its not only us (in this forum) are waiting, this forum only have numbers of immigration applicants joined this web discussion site..

Think about hundred of thousands immigration papers they are processing with different scenarios and profile and programs and and and.. we never know, who knows, a lot of applicants from 2015 already got their PR which not a member in this forum. we have our own time.. it will come. Its frustrating for all of us I know but patience is a virtue.

I was told that your application is handle by a regular officer and the decision is made by a Senior Officer. Looks like there are not enough Senior Officers and they are not currently working on our applications.....

Wow, that's a very good news for you and all Sep 2015 applicant!!!
So everything is done so we should able to get our PPR in early Dec!!!
