I think delay is because more people are getting invitation in express entry draw as compared to last year

Canada will bring in 300,000 new arrivals next year, the Liberal government announced in October 2016 — the same number established this year on a temporary basis to accommodate 29,000 additional newcomers as a result of the Syrian refugee crisis. They have to meet the quota so they neglected all the Inlands. Frustrating!!

As per report the have 88,000 paper based application in inventory but only 19,000 express entry application. So, it is normal paper based application will take 4 times more time than express entry even if they equally distribute resources.

How did you get to talk with a rep? I tried to call them yesterday and I only got the automated reply saying that they have too many people on the phone...

Hi I am May 24 applicant with dependent and received Medical on June 8.
I am confused should I apply in Express or not. But I have not given IELTS yet plus what about degree evaluation for the studies from India? Is it worth applying at this stage?

nothing would happen to that, to the best of my knowledge. My friend applied for EE while waiting for PNP. He was at 4 months of PNP process, then got picked by EE. He just switched to EE, got PR after 5 months submitting the application. His PNP application was still open, no MR for PNP at that point. I believed he called them to withdraw the PNP afterwards.

I've asked an immigration specialist and she said it would take 6 - 8 months from passing medical to getting DM.
All the PNPers are inland applicants, most likely won't bring in any investment in short time, so CIC is not pressed to land us to Canada from Canada. Just kidding... lol

Is this few of us only who have been waiting over 16 months or everyone Is waiting.

I think Whoever is getting in 16 months or less than that those are not visiting this website and who got delayed those only keep posting here I guess.
