hey trashpanda, my status changed to DM on december 11 and last date for visa officer on my file was January 10 2017. My status is not all passed even yet.

June 8 applicant. I got my PPR email on December 28, 2016. Passport has arrived at Ottawa. Good luck for all the June applicants.

Hi there, i was not asked for resume at any step.
Can anyone share the landing experience please? What s the better option going to border (almost 7 hours of drive). appointment in the city, (waiting time is almost 10 days now). Any thoughts

Do you guys know what caused the delay in your applications? Is your background check complete and security section passed? I'm august 10 applicant, and according to my recent GSMC notes my background is still in progress and security not started.
Does anyone know what is the longest the background check can take? Has anyone waited for more than two years?

My case status is: On Hold

Did anyone have that?

CIC requested some PCCs which I failed to send back in time because of the FBI 3 months processing time, so they put my case on hold. That was back in 2016 July, and I provided all the documents they requested in July, 1 week after deadline. I called CIC, and my status is still the same, however the lady told me the security check is in process.

I checked mycic, and both are there:
Status: On Hold
Medicals: done
Security Check: in progress

My application processing time has passed 18 months!

I saw on their admin site that if someone puts a case "on hold" than they have to review it every 60 days.

Im officially a PR now after 3 years of paperwork
PNP took me 18 months
PNP based PR took me 19 months

I have lost a lot of hair over it, like literally its thinned up

My Time line
Date of appli.: June 17th 2015
jan 10th 2017- decision made
jan 13th 6:13 PM - received PPR email
jan 17th - ottawa received passport
jan 26th - passport delivered back to me
jan 28th - Landing

Landing was pretty simple, flagpoling at US customs, received the yellow refusal letter, turned around, went to O canada customs, took my passport/my refusal letter/ confirmation of PR, old stupid closed work permit. got my confirmation of PR as in Landing paper, crossed off the single entry visa, passport back and some pr info thingie, Handshake n took a piss of freedom right outside on the right at the public toilet, Coutts.

I no more have breathing problems which is good
