and Also here you can read this. They committed to bring 25.000 before the end of 2016. They say they are on track. No kidding, they are not working on our apps.....

Welcome 25,000 government-supported Syrian refugees by the end of 2016 – on track

The goal includes all government-assisted and blended visa office-referred Syrian refugees resettled in 2016. This means that some of these refugees are also counted in the above commitment.

Number of government-assisted / blended visa office-referred refugees 19,240 (Data as of September 5, 2016)

That's crazy, no employees are able to process such number of refugee in short time. but given that annual quota is roundly 300k, so perhaps everyone will be averagely delayed for 1 month. which means 16 months will make sense.

We have a job but still need a proof of funds? Cause mine is below 10000 dollars.
Thank you so much for kind explanation.
Do they really check and read them?

Mine was below too ;D Honestly, I don't think you have to have 10000 if you already have a job here. As long as you have a somewhat decent amount in your bank account and a proof of employment with pay stubs you're good to go. I was worried that I don't have enough but wasn't even asked for it, so there's a good chance you won't get asked either ;)

Yeah they never bother with proof of funds at the border! They assume all the checks were done before.

No offense to anyone but I think I should have been a refugee.... I wouldn't have to do a job I don't like and wouldn't have to live like a slave... refugees get free entry plus 10000 dollars ..... amazing ....

Hi everyone, I got PR already and when I applied for my PR, I submitted police certificate from Canada as well. But I was told that police certificate from Canada for an inland applicant is not actually required as IRCC have access to the information. Would someone please confirm the information with me so my friend can save time and cost to apply for one in Canada? Thanks!

Refugees and Express entry have more priority than us paper based PNP applications... That is unfair! And refugees get free medical examination too... I am not saying not to welcome them but most of us have been living in Canada (me for 4 years) and it is just not fair..

I totally agree with you.
It is just unfair.
They should have stopped taking our applications from the beginning.

Hello unsvn. It,

Yes, your right its not necessary to get it unless that they will require you but once they will require police reports it always have a finger printing as well. The only reason why they will request for police reports are in the instances that a criminal has the same as yours. I did get police clearance but my immigration lawyer says that i dont have to attached in my application package.
So not necessary. Hope that helps.
