Waiting has been killing many of us but see, we didn't die..lol. Jokes apart, you should and you could inform them via the Case Specific Enquiry.
Thank you Mishti for a quick reply. yes we are still breathing ;D

So I have to go for Schedule A or what? Is there any time limit on that?

Hi,

Just received my GCMS notes and here's what I found.

Eligibility, Medical, Criminality was passed before the due date indicated 2016-10-07 but, Security is still not started with the same due date as well. All of it was assigned to RC-6262 and assigned by WA01334.

Hope my Security Check would be done before its due date (2016-10-06). I guess our family friend and consultant is right, the PPR average timeframe is 2 to 4 months from the month of your MR and if you have been requested for additional docs, med re-assessment, etc. it may take longer till 6 to 8 months.

However, I hope and pray that everyone would have our PPR emails soon.

when did you apply for your notes?

this month is my fourth since I took medicals, so what your consultant told you is not very accurate. hehe. I didnt have to provide any additional docs

I think this highly depends on the VO and also the merits of the case. Maybe you have more background/criminality checks that needs to be performed.

Yeah even I agree on those waiting times if you get document request. I too got my GCMS notes and the funny part is that the assigned by and assigned to are the the same officer. It's like assigning the file to self.

So according to this ... http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/csis-cic-checks-t67570.0.html

Applications for Permanent Residence from Within Canada

The Service has the sole responsibility for screening immigrants and
refugees who apply for permanent residence status from within Canada. In
2008-2009 the Service received 33, 837 such screening requests. Of these
requests, 21, 950 were immigration applications and 11, 887 came through
the Refugee Determination Program.

According to the statistical information provided by the Service, the
time required for the Service to issue a recommendation on an
immigration application varies considerably depending on how the
application was filed. Those applications filed using the Electronic
Data Exchange from within Canada took a median of 45 days, and
electronic filings within the Refugee Determination Program took 55
days. For those applications filed on paper, the median turnaround time
for immigration applications from within Canada was 70 days
; for
applications from the U. S. it was 150 days, and for paper applications
from within the Refugee Determination program 94 days.

So....if when our ''mycic'' background check changes to ''in progress'' meant that they started to check our security.....then we should expect a waiting period of probably 2 months.....
Let's see.
I doubt what you say that when background check changes to in progress it means security check. Earlier people got PPR within 2-3 days of this change..it's only now that it's been taking so long.

I don't see any harm in sending updated Schedule A. CIC does advise in its email that such changes should be brought to their notice.

Actually the only request that we all wanted right now is PPR.. :)
That's funny, it seems that they lack a staff to look into our files.

I think they won't touch our files until over 15 month we call them to push it! It's really sucks! I prepared my documents very good, They didn't ask me for extra documents but I am still waiting ! Most of my friends got theirs around 12 months except me!!!
