Help !

Just ordered my GCMS on June 24 and received on July 26. Foot of pdf document shows that it's generated on July 6. no idea why they sent me almost 3 weeks later.

GCMS indicates that all passed except for security. however, Mycic inidcates that eligibility is still "under review" today, is it weird?

the Paperfile Transfer History section shows the files have been transferred on June 7 for no reason, which happened after my FBI clearance update. locations is "PS-", that what means?

In addition, in "Notes" section indicates the latest update date is June 7 for receiving my FBI clearance certificate, no additional documents required at this time, labelled as "Eligibility" type.

Also in 2nd page for 'Application assessment' section, no assignee and no due date were indicated. The only due date is for "Eligibility Assessment" section, which was set as Aug 4. does that mean new VO will take over this after Aug 4?

No idea when will they start my security screening, feel like it's not complicated but why taking so long. Please share me your experience for above questions or bizarre scenarios.

Can you share you experience for landing in a CIC office? is it different from a border?

The process is almost completely the same. The only difference is that they don't ask about the amount of money you're bringing inside Canada since you're already in Canada ( or probably the proof of funds). Also, if you don't want to get a refusal letter from US border this is the best way to land. The check list of documents you have to take with you to the office is: Two passport size photos, Passport, COPRs, Instructions (they did not ask for it), and the current and old work and study permits ( they only asked me for my current work permit at the time).

No difference. Without hitting border its done locally. Some border officials even tell us to land in here if we are inland instead of crowding at border.
Same rules apply on the docs perspective.

1. It might change in sometime. As we know that online is not in sync at all.
2. What transfer? you need to elaborate.
Many of our locations before ppr was PS. So nothing to worry.
3. As the result is passed as you per your note at #1, you are good.
4. Few files are not assigned. Mine too (no officers assigned and no due date) for which i was also worried but i saw one other member's application too was not assigned but got ppr. So we are fine with it.
5. We dont worry about the due date when you have the assessment is completed. Its one of the values they have in the system for that section but if its passed (per #1) then dont worry.
My due date mentioned was Aug10 which one year from (near to ) our AOR date (i received AOR on Aug 11 and you might have received on Aug 4th or so). So its just a date they set it default.

Overall, it seems are you just waiting for ppr.

Good luck for rest of us. Dont know what the change is happening within cic and just delaying ppr one more time this year.

we still have a lot of day ahead. Anyway, some people had to wait a couple of days after that change, so be optimistic for monday or tuesday. ;)

I guess so, because we also have a long weekend ahead. Shifting hopes to until Tuesday now.

Hi harirajmohan, actually the GCMS only show 3 records for paper file transfer history like below format:

paper file transfer history : No.1
create date: 2016/06
created by: D40xx
updated date: 2016/06
updated by: D40xx
office: CIO
paper file: AOR#
location: PS-
transfer ID:
transfer type:
transfer outcome:
transfer reason:

seems to be consistent with my FBI supplement document review date, additional files transfer histories were consistent with additional document request and AOR date on feb/2016 and Aug/2015 respectively.

I guess it might be in progress of security screening but yet to be done, just no idea what they usually do during this process, might they contact with someone I know?

I heard from someone that cic officers are usually taking their work off from july to august For their vacation. So they dont usually work till end of August.
Is it reliable?
Anyone has any information about it?
I had a hope that they would give out passport requests from August.
However, what he said just puts me down....

they may slow down because some officers go on vacation, some are sick, some take time off from work because of family issues, etc but completely shutting down for the summer? no way!

Today i just checked Ecas and found a very tiny chance from yesterday.

We received your application for permanent residence on June 8, 2015.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 18, 2015.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 19, 2015.
We started processing your application on August 19, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

Second line has been added.
It seems like a small mistake or whatever,
however, i want to believe they are working on my case at least.
Hope some of the officers are still there remaining working.

Guys,
We all know it is a tough waiting.
Let's forget about it over the weekend as much as possible
And let's start the new week with another tiny bit of hope.

Hi shincanada,

Same thing happened to me on 13th June, 2016.
My timelines are very close to yours.
Can I ask you what is ecas status now?
