Hello,

People in this thread are likely to be able to help me finding answer to a crucial information:

Does it work if the NOC mentioned in a PNP is different from the NOC of a CEC candidate's primary occupation?

CONTEXT:

I am in the Express Entry candidate pool under the Canadian Experience Class. The Canadian experience I gained is under NOC 4166 (my Primary Occupation code).

Now, I got a permanent job offer in BC that will help me becoming a provincial nominee of British Columbia. But that job is under a different NOC (e.g., 4162), so would be the NOC mentioned in my BC provincial nomination.

QUESTION:

Would I be able to utilize a BC PNP (under NOC 4162) with my Canadian Experience Class profile (which is based on experience gained under a different NOC, 4166)?

Your feedback will be truely a great help!

:( we still have tomorrow
I dont think we will see anything tomorrow. A part from the possible strike from Canada post, I think it might be that some officers took vacations. If you check when they stopped sending PPR emails, it will be three weeks this friday. If I were them, I would do the same. Considering this friday is Canada day, is perfect week to take vacations as you only spend 4 days from your vacation days.

So I hope somebody comes back to work on Monday with restored energies from a very good vacation. ;)

Hello everyone,

My post-graduate work permit expire July 3, 2016. I plan to send all my work permit extension paper package June 29, 2016 by UPS, but I am not sure whether CIC can get it by July 3. Which date matters to CIC? Expire date (July 3) or mail date (June 29)?

Thanks,

Why don't you apply online?

But, CIC will consider these strike definitely, in 2011, how many days were affected by Canada Post Strike, in all cases, they extend that many days...

well, they did send Medical request email to Mid june and almost all July applicants on the same day......so.....it could happen. xDD if they check all of us at once. haha. I applied on july 6th, next week will make a year.....I just hope it doesnt go further than that although I am very pesimistic.

Most of us who completed our landing and became a PR is not active on the forum anymore, but I thought I should come and give you a healthy dose of motivation. I know most of your application is getting delayed due to the Canada Post Strike, but keep your hopes alive, your PPR shall come soon! Sooner or later it is on its way, be patient. All the best to the remaining June applicants awaiting their PPR.
