Thanks htokyo for your reply! Hopefully you are right because I was about to freak out and start an Express Entry application... But it's being too expensive already only with the PNP application...
so... I guess that "Patience" is once again our best friend...

It's 3.5 months for me :D I'm starting to get my self busy and sometimes trying to forget this forum (which obviously I can't lol) just to get the months quickly passes by and to have CIC surprises my Inbox lol

Dear All,

I am bit worried my current situation, I have received my file number last September 11, 2015 and still waiting for the medical call. In addition, I need to go back home end of November 2015. Moreover, is there any way that can I do medical in advanced now before CIC invite for it?

Please give me your valuable suggestion. Thank you in advanced.

Just contact panel physician in your area and tell them that you want to have upfront medical exam and ask for instructions

VO/CIC please send me PPR now! ;)

No definite timeline. Last who got MR is those applicant where got AOR last June 30 and their request is last Sept 10. I am going 4 months of wait already since AOR on the 14th this month.

Hi everyone,

I sent out my docs to Sidney in June and received Application number on August 19th. Still waiting for MR... Was wondering why it's taking so long, but after reading comments here I guess it's kinda normal since there is no guideline for waiting time really.. Let's hope for the best and wait patiently.

On a side note, I was curious when do your work permits expire? Cause my Closed work permit expires in March next year and I am wondering what is the procedure like if you don't get your PR by the end of your work permit? Is there a way to extend it somehow? If not, then what do you do basically?
Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks and good luck to all of us! :)

You're in a good situation you can apply for Bridging Open Work Permit on December or whenever your work permit will expire 4 months or less

I am afraid I am not eligible as my nomination was restricted to a specific employer... :(
What are my other options?

Thanks so much for your reply!

You're next option is have your employer pay the employer compliance fee, fill out imm5802e then you can apply for a temporary work permit. Every person nominated by a province is eligible to apply for a temporary work permit while waiting for PR just like what I did.

I got reminder email today
