I did my upfront medical today since there is a waiting period of 2-3 weeks to get an appointment in my region. And also got an email from CIC today stating that they received my document (RPRF receipt) which I submitted through Case specifc enquiry form after the reminder email on 27th January.

Got the same email today. No PPR yet though. Medicals received Jan 11

Wondering if the upfront does the trick, may be they have triggers for other verifications after medical....
i was thinking they will take 2 months at least from the last communication to do any further decision but this seems quick. Good that cic is doing it fast and it looks like we can expect that any months' (Jan to May) applicant can get DM/PPR once all docs in place with them not necessarily in month wise sequence.....

I heard from fsw thread that cic will issue ppr at least 2-3 months before medical expiry, may be thats also a trigger to complete the application fast.... dont know...

And it might put someone in a category, who did the medicals in that period. If you compare, Dec/Jan 2015 applicants did their medicals around May 2015 too. Upfront Medicals is the way to go.

I just did my upfront medical yesterday but haven't sent the results yet, waiting for them to send me an email. Once they do I can inform the doctor and he will send the results immediately thus having no delays at all. Hoping the medical request comes soon, its almost overdue now

No, I'm not. I'm self-employed category, but my process is very similar with PNP.

wow, that's great, but the timings all look jumbled up. We already got our RPRF on 27th but not the medical

i sent mine just recently the same way and i got acknowledgement email after exactly 10 days

I sent mine on 28th. Don't worry they should have received yours as well
