On the bright side, this example tells us that miracle really could happen! Let's keep positive and we never know what kind of PPR rain could happen. Also the case of RAJE and Mishti is quite encouraging. Think positively

Hey guys! I just got my PPR email. And the good part is that they sent a separate email for my dependent who is in home country. I had requested this a few days earlier.

First Document Request- January
Second Document Request March
Initiated MP inquiry July 12 After completing 15 months
Background changed to IN PROGRESS on July 20
GCMS notes showed Due Date as Aug 20
Got PPR on Sep. 02 (Passport sent to Ottawa)
Woah what a journey!!!! ;D

Just checked my ECAS and it says DECISION MADE. But have not officially received my PPR email yet. Ill give it a few hours before I call.

So I finally did my landing yesterday!
I am June 12 inland applicant, I received PPR a while back on June 10 but I had to postpone my landing because I really wanted to go on vacation at the end of August.
I landed at Halifax airport and the whole process (without waiting in a huge line for customs) took only 10 minutes. They didn't really ask much, only said it will take about 3 months for PR card to arrive.
Can't believe it's over, it feels strange to be honest

Just a quick question guys, after receiving PR card, do you need to renew it sometime or do you just apply for citizenship after how many years?

it depends on they type of immigration program you used to obtained you visa, permanent residence applicants will use 3 years in canada, then they will apply for citizenship, now during that 3 years, u must not have any criminal case, drug cases, etc to apply for citizenship
