Hi Shallu. If I can send an email to CPC Ottawa and tell them that I will be submitting the dependent passport in New Delhi, that saves me the time of requesting them to do so and then waiting for them to respond. I will try and find the link of the post in which people claimed that New Delhi held their passport for months..more than 1 person claiming this. That is a big downer! But giving it a thought.

They won't consider your request until you get your ppr.

A friend of mine was on official leave from work for his exams. Today his employer asked him to work this Saturday otherwise he will terminate his job and send the ROE to CRA. But he has officially signed leave till end of June. What should he do?

That is highly unethical! I suppose your friend is a student as of now. He cannot force anyone to work when leave has been sanctioned. And I don't see what he can report unless he was an employer supported PNP nominee..as that would complicate things a bit. Some employers take advantage of our situation. It's bad..I know of many students who bear the brunt of this system.

He has applied pr just like us under pnp stream. But he has approved duly signed leave letter.

I am June applicant and I have had 4 lines since March. Wonder how CIC look at the applications, it's all jumbled up

1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 10, 2015.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 21, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on August 21, 2015.
4. Medical results have been received.

It should not be this way, but the bitter truth is that if he terminates his employment, they will hold his application till he has another emplyer willing to support him. It's hard but I would say stick to this one..and get through fast.
 
All the April applicants who have yet not got PPR or DM probably got additional document request?

Please is employment reference letter same as Certificate of Employment. Also, what is expected to be in the content of the employment reference letter.

Restriction of employment?

While its not a matter of PNP with CIC, it is highly unethical and perhaps illegal to force employees into working overtime and holidays. I am not too positive, but consult with Service Canada and maybe report to ESDC if there is a case.

Sending RoE to Service Canada technically means an official termination of employment so unless PNP has restriction to employment, it shouldn't affect PNP-PR application. SC gets RoE every time you quit a job, laid off or fired.
