Express entry is definitely faster. CIC has a 6 month mandate to complete the process for 80% of the applicant. IF you think you'll hit 1 yr within the next 3 months , with 486 points you should get an ITA. I'll do EE. Start applying for your PCC for countries you lived in outside canada to get a head start. US FBI PCC takes 4 months

Thanks Tekrun.

Do you have any idea if we are able to add spouse on EE at later stage, once we have already applied to CIC?

guys I need help.

I paid the RPRF fee online, but I didn't get the receipt. I got the receipt of the payment, not not the official receipt that I am suppose to mail to cic. Please advise.....

Hello guys, need your advice,

I am AINP PR applicant Nov 2014. Received the AOR on 16th April. Done with the medical on 30th April. My question is will it be good option to pay the PPRF fees upfront online? will that help to save some time? and if yes which is the most convenient way to send them a copy?

Thanks in advance, and all the best to everyone in the process.

Generally you can always add spouse later. If you have a spouse now, why not add her/him? If you reckon you'll be getting married as the application is in flight then add the spouse later. This will most certainly extend your timeline even in EE. Spouse will have to go through the same checks , medicals etc like you. You may not be among the 80% of applicants whose apps will be processed in 6 months. Your case - in adding a spouse may qualify for the 20% with extended timeline for various reasons.

I got the RPRF request email so I paid the fee. I didn't know I could pay the fee upfront. Since they asked for it, I just paid as well.

"The applicant has documented training and experience to be employable in occupations related to NOC 6421 Retail Salespersons and Sales clerks or in a related occupation. The applicant has been working in Manitoba since August 2012 and has long term offer of employment from same employer. On these bases, the applicant has demonstrated the intent and ability to establish successfully in Manitoba and contribute to economy of this province" This is my letter of approval. I have my file number and medicals. My open graduation work permit is going to expire next month. Now tell me is there anyone who applied for "Open work permit" with this kind of restriction or this kind of LOP and they have got there OBWP. Please help me out because cic customer care doesn't have any information on this. :'( :'( :'(

Hello Guys,

I heard that some get MR from Nova Scotia and some get MR from Ottawa. Why is that? One whose file is in Nova Scotia will have late PR as his/her file is to be transferred to Ottawa? I called CIC and the agent told me timeline for PR is 17 months when your file is in Ottawa. Any idea?
