Well my wp is not based on pnp but on my masters in canada. My pnp is based on my masters edu too. I think the article is refering to those who came as tfw and got their work permit extended based on their pnp app or cert. Thats why i m confused. Never heard of this.
EE quota will not be filled because they are hoping to get 285K new PRs. And pnp is already in ee from jan. As per the ranking system, pnp holders or job holders get 600 points.

Well, if your WP is not based on your PNP then this would not apply to you since it says "Ministerial Instructions just released indicate that temporary workers already in Canada on temporary work permits pursuant to provincial nominee program certificates or Canada's free trade agreements (e.g., NAFTA, Chile Free Trade Agreement) will not be eligible for participation in the Express Entry pool without first obtaining a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment." ;)

I wish i cud believe what all is mentioned on the cic website. Because nothing has been going according to that. If we (no aor) are not getting into ee, then we will get pr (if we ever do) after ee applicants in jan-mar and normal pnp applicants in sept 2014?

Yes, that's right.

How many of us ontario applicants on this thread have gotten the QA call from Ontario.
I haven't.

Unfortunately not. CIC received my application on September 29, 2014 and I am still waiting for the AOR.

I think they are done with the calling. And we are done with the waiting.

Just read this shocking reporting regarding QA/auditing of PNP

@_MK_ I didnot receive any QA call nor AOR.

@devpsd & @nessjo - my wp is NOT based on PNP it is a PGWP. Am I eligible for EE? If so, do we need to take language test?
Does our employer need LMIA?

cannon, I am not sure about anything. Well cic clearly mentions pnp holders are elligible for ee. if you have pnp or job holder u get 600 points and picked first. I dont know about the countless caveats they have. you can use the ranking system and enter your info. ofcourse that only gives the score not ascertains elligibility. But then cic clearly mentions in many pages that applicants before jan 1st are not into ee. Reading the audit page posted by indo, i guess OPNP screw up is the reason for delay, no ee.

Also read the notice on http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp

You will need a language test based on the requirements.
I considered it as well but booking a IELTS and getting results sent is 2-3 month process usually and cost 300-400$.

My wp is PGWP as well and I am now wondering if the new requirements will make extending it difficult. I did not apply on other categories because my assumption was extending(bridge or otherwise) is easier with PNP if required.

I read the report and it seems to indicate that they are done their analysis. However I am not very optimistic. I dont think there will be any movement on our applications for another few months.
Would like to be proved wrong though.

Thats a good point. May be the QA was done for this report. I dont know when things will happen but I still have faith in the fairness of the system. That May-aug applicants won't be discriminated against ee or latter applicants as far as pr (if not aor). The faith is gratuitous but still hopeful.
I am lucky to have not applied under ee. I prefer slower inefficient transparent process than a faster non-transparent lottery.
