Yes. Maybe that is a part of it.. But there are lots of applicants I have seen who received additional document requests but received pr status early. Though, most applicants who received pr early did not get document requests.

A must watch for people waiting in Express Entry pool.
The video was recorded on May 7, 2016 at Newcomers Canada Fair, held at the Shaw Conference Centre, in Edmonton and the Speaker works for IRCC (CIC).
Highlights :
1) Current draw size is kept low as CIC still has backlogs of paper based PR applications received before Express Entry.
2) The paper based PR application backlogs are expected to be cleared by Sept/ Oct 2016.
3) Once the backlog is cleared, Express Entry will be the only source of Economic stream PR applications.
4) This will result in higher draw size of 2000-2500 ITAs per draw.
5) ITA cut-off scores will "likely drop below 400" to accommodate higher draw size.
Focus on 2 mins clip between 16:30-18:30 for clarification on above points.

Interesting points for backlogs and it's amazing how FSW/CEC from 2014 is still struggling in the system. Also they are like treating PNP applicants not part of economic stream, PNP is still gonna be stuck in paper based.

that's the thing. IRCC speaks of addressing backlogs on paper based applications but are hardly getting it done. i got an additional document request last september 2015, thanks to my "representative", and since then im still waiting for PPR or DM update.

That's your representative's problem. ditch them and do it yourself

Will CIC call your employer to verify employment information again?

Just in case I didn't ask clearly enough, I am wondering if your employer might get a call during your CIC processing stage? This is after the call at PNP processing stage, which is a preceding step for a successful nomination by the province.

I called CIC on Monday July 25th, and the agent told me; it might take longer to get PPR. I have no idea why our processes with explicable reason takes time. I could extend my work permit and they sent it to me. But at least , they could schedule for an interview with us... Oh how CARP is this....

NO NO, they dont call employer at all, see it depends on what you filled in your CIC application, now all those people that will be filling 2 ,3 works at a time or those that there employment is not clear, cos most people dont no how to fill forms, this what they do, they will tell them to send there 6 months statements of account showing there salary scheme, and dis very rare self this days

I applied for restoration on November 18,2015.No answer from them yet.From the date of the restoration application i received medical and CIC asked me to update Schedule A as there was a gap in the work permit status.I wrote in the schedule A that i'm in Canada currently waiting for work permit and not working-which i'm not,as it's illegal.It's not illegal to stay in the country until you get a restoration/work permit result.

My work permit extension was denied as they said they didn't received my pnp nomination which we did upload online.Maybe it was a glitch in the system.There was someone else on this forum who received PPR while in restoration so should be ok.

I have some concerns in regards to my situation.
I am a bc pnp nominee and my federal file (NON EXPRESS ENTRY) has been submitted and i have been already been asked to submit landing fees. My work permit expired on sep. 2017 and i applied one month ahead of expiration however it got rejected as i missed paying $100.00 fees.
I got migration consultant to ile restoration application where he made me pay $200.00 (restoration application)+ $155.00 (work permit application) +$100.00 ((open work permit fees)
My work permit before was open work permit and had no restrictions on my permit or nomination certificate.

Do u think my lawyer has done right thing as lately i am hearing about this compliance fees. Kindly help any type of suggestions/input are helpful as very stressed right now and dont know what to do.
