That's my belief as well. I do believe that once everything catch up we will have faster processing times. I also don't think that they have that many applications right now for PNP, as there's a huge delay in giving nominations (at least for AINP). I received my nomination in less than 6 months being a strong one, but most of the people are still waiting (even cases that applied in 2013 !!!), so they're actually being picky with the nominations right now, and therefore there shouldn't be that many right now in the hands of CIC.

But hey, we'll wait and see, this is only assumptions.

I do have to wonder if some provinces have their PNP nominees processed faster in the CIC stage. Does CIC give preference to a nominee in one province over another? Maybe there is some reason they see a need for more immigration to one province over another?

One thing I wonder is if the sticker PNP nominees get is the same colour for every province. If they are different colours it would be a way for CIC to determine if they get processed faster? Maybe I am over thinking but I would still be curious to know if what province you are nominated from matters when it come to CIC stage?

My boyfriends sticker was green.

My sticker is orange.

We can only guess, but I would say it does affects. FOr example I keep reading about ontario nominees and they're always in such delays. It would make sense, since ontario (especially Toronto) is so overpopulated.

So I'm gonna say yes, they do process your application faster if you're from X given province.

not sure about the wording of this statement but does this mean that if we did a paper application with PNP and not with the ITA after creating an EE account that they will be aiming to process PNP nominees in the same time frame. The wording " applications received under Express Entry" is what I am not sure of. If it said through the EE system then I would assume they meant people who actually go a ITA from the EE but they only say people applying after January 1, 2015. Looking at the website this is a statement made for all economic class applications and PNP is included in this. Maybe I am overly optimistic but it would be nice to see everyone get processed faster.

If you applied on or after January 1, 2015:
Our goal is to process most complete applications received under Express Entry in six months or less.
We currently only have processing times for people who applied under the old system.
Processing times tell you how long it took Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to process applications in the past. Since Express Entry is a new system and not enough applications have been received yet, processing times are not available but we have committed to process applications in six months or less

I'll try to be the negative voice here hehe. I just read it, and for me it looks that they're referring strictly to EE applications (and of course, I would love to be wrong).

Hi Mbgirlfriend,
I was nominated after 3months and 12 days,
I am also working in Manitoba and,
my sticker was green.

Hi I applied from Alberta, submitted the application ten days ago but forgot to put the sticker from the nomination letter on the envelope. Anyone has ideas of what I should do now?

No idea, but my guess is that is going to get delayed!

If I'm correct, the purpose of the sticker is so agents kind of "fast-track" those applications. But hey, I'm just guessing
