hello. i need some advise.
I applied PNP PR on last March and I extended my work permit with nomination on last Feb.17 just day before my visa expired then I got a refusal letter on May 1st. I found out the reason that I checked extend workpermit application in open permit category. my company lawyer is trying to contact to cic for revise my work permit but it's hard to contack to cic. They didn't answer yet. my restoration date will be finish on May 18.
should I re-apply extend work permit before May 18? or can I stay without any visa cuz I'm a PR applicant?

And one more question, If i go bact to my country, My PR application is still working? or Do i have to stay in Canada?

Plz advise...

Why do they reject your work permit. I believe if you have AOR you can apply for BOWP. Please fill out the questionare and then apply so you can stay in country until you get the answer.

Hi, was your employer able to solve your problem inside Canada?

Did you try applying from your home country? Processing times are usually faster outside of Canada. I'm in a similar situation and Im thinking about going home and apply for new entry but also not sure if something would happen to my nomination.

hi. you suppose to apply closed one. so many ppl think that if you have AOR then you r eligible for open wp, but its not
true base on some facts. if you are inland and your nomination letter has company name, you must have to apply closed one .Dont forget
to ask your company first to pay 230$ for you first, then you apply with that reciept and other forms. u will have to provide
pnp wp support letter as well. ( saskatchawen and BC ppl get with nomination but mpnp or ainp need to b ask for that).

I dont have idea about outland and those dont work currently in canada and applied for wp.I might be wrong somewhere
so correct me. good luck.

exactly this happened to me. applied for open permit but had restriction on pnp lette so I was refused. now I need to reapply to restore my status. can you please tell me if this would affect my ongoing PR application which is almost on the final stage?
also, how to make sure that it is not refused this time. what do i need to reapply this time? I AM REALLY TENSED RIGHT NOW ! :(

No it won't affect your PR. You need to restore your status by applying for a closed work permit. You need your employer to fill out a LMIA Exempt form online through the employers portal on CIC. Once they submit the form, they must then pay the $230 compliance fee. After all that is done, a employment ID number will be emailed instantly to your employer. You need the employment ID number and receipt of the compliance fee including the PNP work permit support letter and AOR of your PR application to submit the work permit application.

my employer seems to be reluctant to go through that process.
My PGWP was applied until my passport expiry. This is what I thought I was applying for to extend my PGWP extension according to my new passport but I made a mistake by mentioning my PR and PNP letter and AOR. is it wise to restore as a PGWP extension as I was not granted the time I was entitled to the first time ?
Also I have my grace period to reapply for restorationtill 28 January. The 16 month of my PR application will end on December 15. Should I wait till the last day of my grace period to reapply (in the hope of getting PR in the meantime)?

Does your PGWP say that the duration is limited due to your passport expiration date and can be extended?

Hi all,
I have got a job offer in canada and I was nominated by one of the province in Canada. I have decided to apply for a work permit prior to apply for a resident permanent (RP). Big surprise, my work permit application was refused based on the following:

Thank you for your interest in working in Canada. After careful review of your work permit
application and supporting documentation under the International Mobility Program, I have
determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee
Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing
your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on your immigration status.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of
residence.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee.

Would someone help me and let me know how can proof that? What kind of document should I provide as a proof even if my intention is to apply for RP.

I need your help because I would like to apply again. Can I still apply for a PR even if my temporary work permit is refused?

Thank you!
