Thanks for the reply, very helpful.

I did ask call center they asked me to e-mail CIC IT deptt, did that, never got a reply back from IT.

I am not sure, how will I get PPR? (E-mail or POST), how much money I will have to pay at the time of PPR $490?

What is RPRF? I have paid $500 when I sent my application.
RPRF - right of permanent residence fees... which is $490 you need to pay before getting your permanent visa stamped in your passport.
550 is the cost of application processing... and add 490 to get the visa issued. Along with PPR request they will give instruction to pay RPRF without paying that you wont get PR visa stamped on your passport.
PPR comes either way for some they get a Email for some they send a post. Whats your timeline? i mean when you submitted your application to CIC?

Hi,

Had a question. Does anyone know how the Request for Passport is received? This is for the applicants residing in Canada specifically. Is it through an email or a letter through Canada post? And would we have the option of getting the stamping done in person at the Visa Office? Reason I ask is I might have to travel over the next month and I did like to know so that I could plan better

I guess you are right I should go ahead and apply for TRV

I know there are a lot of ppl that are waiting for PPR, but a lot of ppl in my category already got the PPR and PR Visa,

If we look at the Detroit office app processing time, they have a really good processing time / response time

its mentioned in the E-mail that I got from CPP -O for medical request that I shoudl contact them in 120 days if they dont reply to me, I assume that I will get PPR in 120 days from the date of medical requested.

Lets all wish each other good luck and hope that get done with this process ASAP. theres lot to do in life than waiting..

cheers

I did ask the same question, and someone answered that it depends on case to case, they may sand it by E-mail or Post.

I am also waiting for my PPR. I got my MR in E-mail

Hope this helps.

Thanks

you can go to detroit in person on tuesday or thursday between 830 to 1100 and you will get stamped same day. just try to call detroit vo, and this information is on the announcement as soon as you dialed that number, 313-567-2340

i receive passport request through letter along with my medicals. as per my observation, if they dont send you passport request with medical ( which is in letter). then they send passport request in email. but still NDVO is highly unpredictible!!
