Very good news sukhvir! many many Congrats

I am HKVO too. I do not how visa is issued by Hong Kong. Our Medical/and passport request came from Hong Kong. My outstanding documents (proof of residency for Aunt) was also requested by Hong Kong directly. and adress they gave us was Hong Kong China. But I was asked to mail passports to New Delhi not Hong Kong.

My guess is there is Hong Kong Office department in New Delhi and they are receiving passports and issuing visas once documents complete, and medical received.

Thanks Hark12. I think you guess right. Same happened in our case. The HKVO in New Delhi is doing this job on behalf of NDVO, as they stated in their email.

Congrats ersukhvir.. My medical recived updated by hkvo. On 16 june one day after u. But not any decision made update... Worried... We done our medical on same day and our rprf draft was encashed on 6 june...

yes rajvir we have to wait for long time....and i think hark12 is right may be hong kong visa office has department in NDVO too.....

There is nothing like that buddy. Actually they have a common network which is shared by all visa offices. So they download ur complete application on this shared network. It includes all the scanned copies of all ur docs that u submitted. So they kind of bring your complete application on their shared network.
As they work on a specific application , they type all the comments & every step( can also be called application progress report) on every specific application. I mean thats how u can order ur caips report. Even if a visa officer is absent due to any reason, others can pick up the work as he typed all the comments online. All the applications have the brought forward date. So when they work on absentee's work they pick only the cases on which they actually have to work on.
So now if they have overload of work they sent a list of file numbers to other visa offices ( like NDVO transferred its work to Hongkong visa office). So hongkong visa office just need to open that applications & start working on them as it has all the progress report.Thats how it works when u have huge databases to work on. They don't waste time to look in their paper files but they bring it online. But still its my guess 8)
