Hope something good will happen to all of us!

Hi Guys,

I am planning to write an open letter to Jason Kenney about how disappointment all of us are with the functioning of CPP-Ottawa and how it is affecting all of our lives. I'll send this letter to all the media outlets as well. As this will be an open letter, it would be more effective if it is signed by multiple people.

I am already working with a friend of mine who is also a lawyer on the wording of this letter. What would be better is if we can add individual stories on how each one of us are stuck in one way or other due to this delayed processing and how painful that is. We will also mention how all the post June applicants are getting ahead of the que. Whoever is interested, please me an email at neglectedapplicants @ outlook.com and I'll get in touch with all of you there. There is no space before and after @ . May be going vocal is the only way to remind them that we are here and hurting.

Thanks,
Gurjaspal

P.S: Only Dec 2011 to May 2012 applicants please.
Sir, thank you for the initiative, we really appreciate it, but here is the thing, I have wrote 3 letters to Kenny and posted article about strike on kenny's FB wall, he dont give a crap

there is no reply buddy, only thing u can do is wait, Buffalo guys made a lot of noise and they are still waiting for Visa's

Look at this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/2013/january.asp

We could make similar Access To Information request in order to see why Pre-June 2012 applications are left behind.

Such requests could be like:

For each month of application date from January 2012 to January 2013, number of applications that are assigned to an agent.
Ratio of applications in CPP-Ottawa made between January 2012 and June 2012 that have been approved.
Ratio of applications in CPP-Ottawa made after June 2012 that have been approved.

After getting those results, we'll send then to the press as proof of the discrepancies in Ottawa processing.

Perhaps we'll see that a higher percentage of post June 2012 applications that have been finalized vs the percentage of pre June 2012 applications

Maybe also some internal CIC directives advising agents to give more priority to post June 2012 applications.

Man, great work but dont have too many expectations, CIC guys are doing what they do everyday.
Complaining against them wont make any difference,
I am working with a company from 3 years and nobody cares for any accountability in Canada, people have their jobs and they do min required to keep going, CIC officers are a part of union , govt cant say anything to them.
Still, a good thing to satisfy yourself.

Hi All:

For everyone who intends to leave his/her province of nomination after becoming PR, please read the Province-Federal Agreement on immigration.

This can be found in http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/laws-policy/agreements/index.asp

Check out the agreement your province has with the federal and see if you can move or not.

Under Appendix A for Saskatchewan-Federal Agreement on immigration, Canada will do the following.

4.8 Notwithstanding the nomination authority of Saskatchewan, Canada is responsible for:

(1). determining the admissibility of the nominee and his or her dependents with respect to all legislative requirements including health, criminality, and security;
(2). exercising the final selection authority;
(3). issuing immigrant visas to provincial nominees and accompanying dependants who meet all the admissibility requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations and of this Agreement;
(4). providing Saskatchewan with information, on a quarterly basis, on average processing times of provincial nominees destined to Saskatchewan; and
(5). providing Saskatchewan with names and dates of landings of Saskatchewan-nominated provincial nominees on a quarterly basis.

Hope this helps!
