Hello friends this is vellymundavirk i wanted to know the whole process of gic and is it mandatory to transfer money by novascotia branch back here in india to canada and total time taken by the whole process.enlighten me my friends.

u got to download the form for it and then fill it(type it). sign and date it... and then scan it along with LOA and passport photcopies.. again both have to be signed on each page..put them in a SINGLE pdf and mail it to them... aftr a few days say 3-5 u'll get a reply with ur account numbr.... whr u r to send money...once u do the transfer another 5-7 days or lesser to get the gic cert...
visit their site www.scotiabank.com and make sure u go thru the dos and don't carefully....
