Are you in Canada to claim asylum? That is the only way to do it. If not are you a UNHCR refugee? If so, UNHCR determines where you will be settled. Or if you know any Canadians they can sponsor you through the Group of 5.

Thanks for your response, am in Nigeria and I really don't know what UNHCR means. I don't know any Canadian that could sponsor either wish I had one though

United Nations Human Rights Commission - You need to leave Nigerida and claim refugee status in another country. UNHCR decides where you are settled, and it will take years or you may never be resettled.

Only way to come to Canada is as a student (need to show around $26kCDN plus pay first year tuition, show education/career advancement and ties to return) or try for a TRV (funds, ties to return (job, child), travel history). People from Nigeria who come to Canada have one of the highest rates of claiming asylum so chances are low for TRV.
