I have following queries.

1. My husband is prinicpal applicant. We have got AOR from NS, Sydeny. Now our passport shows marital status as single. Do we need to get it updated before we proceed further.

2. My passport has permanent addess as my parent's address(before marriage ). Do I need to get it updated to new address?

3. DO I need to change my surname neccessiarly?

3. Police verification: I got to know that Reginal Police office can stampe passport like "PCC done for Canada", much like ECNR stamp.
Is it sufficient? or I need separate certificate?

Thanks,

Answer to 1, 2 & 3: If you had your passports issued before you got married to each other and if you can show a proof of the date of marriage (which supposedly will be after the passports were issued) then I'm sure CIC will heve no problem stamping the visas in the same passports. Never mind the surnames, addresses, marital statuses etc.

3. Police clearances always have to come in the form of proper reports. I wouldnt think just stamps in your passports will suffice.
