Passport Req..
22-09-2017
Hi- My spouse is primary applicant and we just got PPR. For the first time we both will visit canada and apply for COPR.

I am confused and have a question about the next trip to pick up PR card. Can i make this trip alone and pick up both our cards and get it back to USA where we live.

Anyone with an insight? or some link that may help clarify?

Thanks

i have friends/family in Canada so i can get the card delivered to them but will i be able to get my wife's card back with me to USA on return or does each individual need to carry their card separately?

First, you do not apply for CoPR when in Canada. You receive your CoPR paperwork after you submit your passport. When you land, the officer at the port of entry will request your first PR Card. You will have to provide a mailing address within Canada (yes, this can be your family members address). Once the family member has it, they can mail both cards to you.
