My profile:
10th 2004 64%
Diploma IT 2004-2007 (+2008) 63% (1 year extra to clear 2 backlogs and reappear all exams again to improve percentage)
BE IT 2008-2010 2nd and 3rd year (16 backlogs all together)
Got a drop in 2010 because of backlog, cleared them all and also have work experience letter for I worked in family business in that gap time.
2011-2012 4th year
By end of 2011 my father got heart attack and I had to leave my education and support him and his construction business.
Its 4 years now I am working in family business on undertaken projects.
I had somehow completed my college but cud never give exams and I am completing them all by june 2015 as my father is stable and many projects are finished.
I am planning for MBA in general management in canada to enhance my business and plans for new startups as well.
My negative points:
1. Backlogs
2. Gap
My positive points:
1. Have medical proofs of my father's medical condition and emergencies.
2. Have work experience, ITR files, bank statements of work done in GAP.
3. Strong ties with home country.
4. Good funding.
I am applying for a course (MBA)which is not relevant to my bachelor's degree but to my business work experience of 5 years and future in business carrier. So can my poor academics in technical field affect my visa?
Can I explain in SOP that BE IT was never an area of my interest as I always wanted to get involved in business and infact I am involved in a good business line today?
Can my no relation with technical career in future, but rather a good involvement in business line advocate my MBA and visa chances for the same?
Pls help guys who ever are experts or have ideas for such type of situations.
