Seems like none of the forum members here experienced my situation or may be no one is interested in this topic...

Atleast, can someone please suggest if I can fax an enquiry to Regional medical office in Ottawa because I believe this is where all the medical results are sent by the DMP.

This is where I found this info.

I have read comments from people saying they applied for BOWP before the 4 months it was due to expire and include an explanation letter and got the BOWP approved. Search the forum for examples and contact the applicants for more information.

My WP is ending in 2015 and hence I do not qualify for a BOWP.

True Senorita, I have read that too but it is all luck...would you be able to tell me from ur experience about the medical situation I explained in the thread?

Have you asked your DMP to inquire from the medical office in Ottawa on your(or your wife's) behalf? You are welcome to fax an inquiry, the worse that could happen is they don't reply. If they require additional tests for your wife, they will send a request.

I spoke to the DMP's office to check with them if they have received any communication from CIC regarding my spouse medicals but they haven't heard anything from CIC. Would they really inquire Ottawa on my spouse behalf?

I don't believe they can contact the medical officer to ask about your wife's "medical review". You are going to have to get more patience and wait to hear from them. Rest assured, if they require more tests they will send a request. Check ecas regularly.

Hi yahoo7 ,

My wife has Ulcerative colitis and she was taking an expensive medication (Remicade ) when we did our medicals . Remicade was covered by employer insurance anyways . However, due to severe side effects she had to discontinue Remicade few months ago. Now we have got a medical furtherance letter. I think it is probably based on expensive medication she was taking . Now she is off any prescribed medication and trying alternative treatments / diet control and doing well .

Letter from CIC .
Further medical information is required before a decision can be reached. Please take the enclosed sealed
envelope to the Panel Physician who performed your immigration medical examination or to another Panel

Physician if you are unable to return to the one who initially saw you lhttgjlwwwßicgc.caldmQ-mdlmedical.asgx)_
The Pane! Physician will arrange for the additional medical tests to be carried out and will fonivard the results
directly to this office.

I am curious to know what is happening at your end.

@others Does anybody know if I can just go to any panel physician or I need a reason to go to different panel Physician.

Hi Irow, I have not heard anything from CIC after we submitted out initial medicals a month ago. Can you please publish your timelines and did you receive the medical furtherance letter via mail or email?
