It has been more than 2 weeks after my daughters Medicals for her visit visa.No updates after that. The status says 'Medicals Passed'. How long after the medicals they ask for passport normally. I'm in a situation that I need to return to Canada ASAP. I can't travel without my newborn.I had emailed CIC regarding the delay. No replies yet. The application for visitor visa was submitted online from India on September 12th. Got medical request on Oct 11th.Submiited medicals on October 19th.I'm soooooo stressed.I really don't know what to do.Somebody please help.

Unfortunately there's really nothing you can do but wait. There's no fixed processing time after medicals have been passed. At this point you haven't been waiting very long (just two weeks). Hopefully you'll have a decision soon.

Thanks for the reply. I know two weeks waiting hasn't been that long. But there has been a emergency that happened in Canada which needs my presence there ASAP. I'm on Parental EI and as per their rule I can't travel without my kid. (Kid needs to be with the caring Parent.)Also I can't leave back my newborn. Does the delay indicate any chances of rejection.

It's impossible for any of us to say what the outcome of the application will be for certain. However if a medical has been requested, that's typically a good sign. However it's not a guarantee of approval.

There's no expedite processing - so you have no choice but to wait.

You'll just have to be patient. Do remember there were several holidays, in India, between September-now

Still haven't received any update from CIC. 2 months are four days has passed since I applied. I seriously don't know what's happening to my application.
