Hey guys
It has been 2 weeks since mycic was updated to medical passed and no other update since then. What does this mean? Is it something to worry about ? :-[

They kinda do both. It takes time to get invitation to medical and takes time after it.
I assume they check just initially if you have ALL required documents and send you to medical.
After that they actually check everything carefully.

P.S. 80-90% of time your application just on the shelf and waiting between different stages

Oh ok. Thank you! Also I've heard that if you get a medical call, it's a good sign and that you'll get your visa. Is it true?

Yes, as it's one of stages, if you get medical call that means you on another stage and yes, I never heard of refuse after medical, so it's kinda 90% of success.

M in a same situation.. i applied for open work permit on 4th oct,
my medical was passed on 14th nov,
Additional documents requested by cic on 16th nov, (marriage certificate & proof of funds for me and spouse)
Additional documents submited on 18th nov,
Waiting for the final decision....
What are my chances??

Well only in extreme cases a file could get rejected after medical passes. Such as fake documents or info.. as far as i knw very few people gets rejected after medical calls. So In Sha Allah hope for the best as I am on the same boat as you are.. good luck friend.
